CSEA has reached a tentative five-year agreement with New York State.

What happens next?

On June 21, 2017, State Executive Branch Local Presidents received a briefing on the full details of the tentative contract.

In the coming weeks, the negotiating team will be meeting with members around the state.  More information on when and where those meetings will be can at a later date.

On July 14, 2017, ballots to vote on the tentative agreement will be mailed to all eligible members in New York State covered by the contract.

On August 8, 2017, the ballots will be counted.

What are the highlights of the agreement?

The contract is a five-year agreement.

Salary increases are as follows:
-2016-2017 2% base salary increase retroactive to April 1, 2016.
-2017-2018 2% base salary increase retroactive to April 1, 2017.
-2018-2019 2% base salary increase.
-2019-2020 2% base salary increase.
-2020-2021 2% base salary increase.

Double time compensation for OMH and OPWDD workers who are mandated to work more than 16 consecutive hours.

Longevity:
-5 year increases from $1250 to $1500
-10 year increases from $2500 to $3000
-NEW: 15 year payment of $4500 effective 2020

Health Insurance:
-No change in premiums
-Small increases in some copays, but no changes to copays for generic drugs or in network primary care.
