I want to take a moment to acknowledge the recent notification regarding a technical error that may have impacted health insurance deductions on the February 5, 2026 paycheck.

I understand that any unexpected issue with pay can be stressful, and I want to be clear that your concerns are valid and heard. Please know that this matter was caused by a system error within the Civil Service payroll process and was not the result of any action by our staff or local payroll teams.

If an over-deduction occurred, the amount will be credited back on the February 19, 2026 paycheck. We are closely monitoring this situation and will continue to advocate for accuracy and transparency to ensure members are made whole as quickly as possible.

If you have questions or believe your paycheck was affected, I encourage you to reach out to your Human Resources Office for individual assistance. Additionally, do not hesitate to contact union leadership if you need support navigating this process — we are here for you.

Thank you for your patience and professionalism as this issue is corrected. Our priority remains supporting you and ensuring your pay and benefits are handled correctly.

In solidarity,

Fanysha McCray
President
